community led town hall

‼️
The original date for this community led town hall was Thursday, July 24th, but has been changed to JULY 31st better accommodate the schedules of city officials who had been invited to be involved in community led civic engagement

After our call for a town hall for the city to address the Williams case with transparency, city officials met with us only once or twice about holding one. Unfortunately, they stopped communicating with us on this issue.

Some unaffiliated community residents have organized their own town hall and wanted us to share the information with you.

Their description:

Johnson City currently lacks any sanctioned space for open, resident-led dialogue with civic leaders. This event fills that gap by creating a structured, inclusive forum where community members can speak directly about their experiences, concerns, and visions for a better city. City leadership is formally invited and encouraged to attend. In the event of their absence, a symbolic panel of community representatives will model the kind of transparency and responsiveness residents deserve.
