Tri-Cities Mutual Aid & Solidarity Network is working with other local organizers on Appalachian Commons Project in restoring and using the yellow building downtown Johnson City. This is where our first long-term free store residence will be, and we're super excited to co-create this space with our community. We're sharing the pre-development fundraising call in hopes you may be able to pledge some money towards this project.

Help get this project off the ground by pledging some funds! We won’t ask for your money until we get the full $5900 pledged.

Did someone order a new third space in downtown Johnson City to catalyze the local grassroots, create a recovery-friendly sober space downtown, and provide an all-ages venue for arts, culture, community wealth building and popular education? coming right up! If you have between $25-100 to share over the next month, you can be a part of the ground floor of getting this project started. We have access to a building, all our paperwork ready to file to establish our organization, and a team of dedicated and excited locals ready to get this place rolling. Our first goal is to crowdfund $5900 to secure a long-term use agreement with the building owner, incorporate our 501c4, and hire an early career local marketing specialist to build out our organizational presence. This crowdfunding effort will help us unlock grants and/or investment dollars to fix the building up and equip it with the people and furnishings we need to make this the space we all deserve. We won’t ask for your money until we get the full $5900 pledged. Even if you can’t donate, we still want you involved! Let us know what you’d like to see from this project!
